This document is to show the marks that are to be placed on the PID stickers of the equipment based upon passed or failed and the components or condition of the unit. For passed equipment, the marks are to be in Blue.

 

Computer Symbols

A blue 2 is for passed laptops and computers which have a 2 core processor. Some of these processors are Core 2 Duo, Core Duo, Centrino Duo Core,
3 A blue 3 is for passed laptops or desktops with processors that have 3 cores. These computers are mostly AMD Tri Core. A blue I3 is for all passed laptops or desktops that have an Intel I3 processor.
4 A blue 4 is for all passed laptops, desktops or servers that have a Quad (4) core processor.
5 A blue 5 is for all passed laptops and desktops that have an Intel I5 processor.
6 A blue 6 is for all passed laptops, desktops and servers that have a Hex (6) core processor.
7 A blue 7 is for all passed laptops and desktops that have an Intel I7 processor.
8 A blue 8 is for all passed laptops, desktops and servers that have an Octa (8 core processor).
A6 A blue A6 is for all passed laptops and desktops that have an AMD A6 series processor.
A8 A blue A8 is for all passed laptops and desktops that have an AMD A8 series processor.
A10 A blue A6 is for all passed laptops and desktops that have an AMD A6 series processor.
R2 A blue R2 is for all laptops and desktops that are duo (2) core processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
R3 A blue R3 is for all laptops and desktops that are Tri (3) core processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive. R3 is also for any intel i3 desktop or laptop.
R4 A blue R4 is for all laptops, desktops and servers that are Quad (4) core processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
R5 A blue R5 is for all laptops and desktops that have an Intel I5 processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
R6 A blue R6 is for all laptops, desktops, and servers that have a hex (6) core processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
R7 A blue R7 is for all laptops and desktops that have an Intel  I7 processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
R8 A blue R8 is for all laptops, desktops and server that are Octa (8) core processor and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
RA6 A blue RA6 is for all laptops and desktops that are AMD A6 processors and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
RA8 A blue RA8 is for all laptops and desktops that are AMD A8 processors and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
RA10 A blue RA10 is for all laptops and desktops that are AMD A10 processors and are functioning, but do not have a hard drive.
N A red line is for all failed computers, desktops and servers. These units can have hardware failures, excessive cosmetic damage, or missing multiple parts.
RC A red RC is for computers that are designated by the client intent for recycle only and cannot be reused.

 

Monitor Symbols

A A blue line is for a passed monitor that is in good working condition with no defects. A monitor without a base can still be a Saleable unit, but just needs to have the no base box checked.
B A blue B is for monitors that are functional and have a good panel. A good panel is a monitor that displays and is not cracked. A B conditioned monitor can have scratches on the screen, dark spots, dim picture, a few bad pixels, and chips on the screen or other small defects.
N A red line is for failed monitors that do not have a broken panel. These monitors may have a bad backlight, do not power on or have excessive case damage.
XX A red XX is for monitors that have a broken or cracked panel. If the panel is broken under the glass it is ok to leave as is. If the panel is cracked and exposed, it is to be put into a plastic bag. These are considered to be a focus item.

 

Printer Symbols

A A blue line on a printer PID is for passed printers that are fully functioning and have toner in the cartridges.
B A blue B are for printers that are functioning, but have small cosmetic issues, and low toner or other supplies.
N A red line is for printer that are not functioning. These unit can have excessive cosmetic damage, paper jams, unit errors, poor print quality and missing multiple parts.

 

Misc Symbols

A A blue line on a piece of miscellaneous equipment is for passed equipment that is fully functional.
B A blue B is for passed equipment that is functional, but maybe missing parts or has cosmetic defects.
N A red line is for failed equipment that is failed and not functional. This equipment may still be sold for parts.

 

Media Symbols

O A Blue circle on a piece of media is for data bearing material that has been audited into the system. This can be hard drives, data tapes, CD as well as other data bearing items. This mark is used on in house auditing as well as onsite.
X A Red x that is put over the blue circle is for media that has been degaussed for magnetic devices. For flash media, the x goes on the item before it is shredded.
